Blues visit Samoa

All Black stars Jerome Kaino and Steven Luatua spent most of last week’s bye in Samoa – but they weren’t there on holiday.

On the contrary, the dynamic duo was working hard to promote our match against the Reds at Apia Park National Stadium on 2 June 2017, which will be the first Investec Super Rugby game played in the island nation and the first major rugby game played under lights there.

Steven and Jerome visited official ticket agents on the island, including Eveni Pacific and the Bluessky Matafele retail store, where they met and mingled with the locals, signing autographs and posing for selfies.

Jerome commented: “The interest from local Samoans in the Blues and in our game was huge. Of course, we have a lot of players with Samoan heritage in the Blues and this game will be a fantastic opportunity for us to play in front of our extended families.”

Tickets to the match in Samoa are now available online via Ticketmaster (why not gift some match tickets for your family in Samoa?), or you can check out our Blues travel packages, which include three nights’ accommodation, match tickets, and transfers.

Meanwhile, Blues principal sponsor nib is offering two lucky fans a ‘money can’t buy’ experience to travel with the team to Samoa to watch their final game of the season. To be in to win, click here.
