Blues players serve up healthy breakfast

The Blues are proud to support Kids Kai Time and their efforts to make sure kids have full tummies to start the school day as well as sharing the message of healthy eating.
At a recent visit to Rongomai Primary School in Auckland, coach Sir John Kirwan and some players got stuck in preparing healthy meals for the excited students.
“Our boys are helping out and spreading a message of healthy eating that we think is important and also giving back to the community,” said Sir John Kirwan.
Students were served a breakfast of Weetbix and fruit by the players before receiving a healthy lunch bag filled with fruit, raisins, yoghurt and a bagel.
Kids Kai Time founder Michelle McArthur praised the hard work of the players.
“It is so great to have the support of the Blues – each time we run an event it just gets better,” said McArthur.
“Having the players to reinforce the messages of 5+ a day and oral hygiene really helps in getting through to the children.”
The Blues will team up again with Kids Kai Time in May.
