BEST & FAIREST (Selected by Mediaworks)
5 Points: Steven Luatua
Added responsibility of captaincy brought out the best in Luatua, so strong off the back of the scrum, tackled non-stop and showed some outstanding skills.

3 Points: George Moala
George Moala again made so many metres ball in hand and was rewarded with a try.
1 Point: Keven Mealamu
Super-powerful in set play, ran with telling effect and destructive in the tackle.
WHAT THE COACH HAD TO SAY:
That was disappointing. The real difference was at ruck time. We got outplayed the ball over 17 times. You can’t win rugby games like that. Also when we scored and got into the game we gave that up quickly and allowed the Rebels back with some soft tries. We have to get back, lick our wounds and prepare for the Bulls at home and show some real pride for our fans and families.
Sir John Kirwan
WHAT THE PLAYERS HAD TO SAY:
Credit to the Rebels who really punished us for our mistakes. We kept trying but mistakes cost us. We are trying to apply ourselves every week but the Rebels are a class team. I want to thank the Blues Fans for their support through this tough season.
Captain Steven Luatua
