Jerome is the gladiator of the Blues team, a leader by deeds rather than words. He has been an All Black regular and key contributor to their back-to-back World Cup victories, now approaching 80 caps. Jerome is a centurion for the Blues – and only Keven Mealamu and Tony Woodcock have played more games for the Blues, of those who have been based at the Blues for the majority of their Super Rugby careers.

He is an inspirational loose forward, excellent at lineout, uncompromising in defence and a vastly improved attacking player wide out.

Jerome was awarded the 2004 IRB Under 21 player of the year and played every game in the All Blacks’ 2011 World Cup winning campaign, earning him the 2011 NZ Player of the Year title and player of the tournament.

He spent 2012 with Toyota Verblitz in Japan before returning to the Blues in 2014, awarded Super Rugby Player of the Year that year. Jerome was a significant contributor in the All Blacks RWC success in 2015 and is in vintage form in this years 2016 international campaign.
